“I’m so overwhelmed with joy. Carol Elaine’s work was amazing. She is very professional and accommodating. I would definitely work with her again.”
Ever since I played the Seamstress in Stone Soup at age 6, I have yearned to be an actor. And while I’ve studied film and stage acting and have been seen in everything from Shakespeare to original works, my journey to the life I’m living now wasn’t a smooth one.
As an adult, I took a few wrong turns – working in politics, commercial furniture manufacturing, and even for NASA – basically everything but acting. After a long and very windy road, I realized it was time to go all in and finally do what I’d wanted to do all along.
And here I am!
In the end, it was for the best that I waited to fully pursue my passion for acting and performance, because I’ve learned so much along the way.
I’ve lived so, so many lives – both as an adult and as a child – while my Navy family traveled to every corner of the United States. Because of that, I bring a deep well of experience, perspective, and empathy to every role and every project.
I’m now settled in Los Angeles, approaching each new acting and voiceover opportunity with the same excitement as my very first. Whether on stage, on screen, or behind the microphone, every project is another thread woven into the tapestry of my life experience – and I’m honored to use that tapestry to help bring your story to life.
“I’m so overwhelmed with joy. Carol Elaine’s work was amazing. She is very professional and accommodating. I would definitely work with her again.”
Outside of acting and voice work, the one thing I’m most passionate about is my work as a mental health advocate.
I do everything I can to continually spread awareness of the realities of working and living with mental illness. I want performers – and anyone else who needs to hear it – to know that they’re not alone.
Me? I live with Bipolar Disorder II, Depression, and Anxiety… so you could say I’m no stranger to what it’s like to work, create, and live with mental illness.
After many years of struggling, I discovered people who helped me see that what I was going through wasn’t as unusual as I once thought. They were voices – and people – who helped lead me out of the darkness.
I want to be that voice for others, which is why mental health awareness is such an important part of my career. I’ve made it my goal to help others understand that they are more than their mental illness – and that help is available.
I bring this unique perspective to my work and strive to give the most authentic, truthful performance I can, whether I’m acting on stage, on screen, or behind the microphone.
I firmly believe that any project – whether it’s an audio drama, video game, film, television project, or even a commercial – needs to be grounded in truth.
And it’s that truth I bring to every role.
Part of that truth is that I’m also a huge geek who loves Star Trek, Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who, and – no surprise – space (hence the NASA work!). I was even fortunate enough to carry an actual satellite once. Yes, it was a small CubeSat – but it was very cool.
I’m also well known in the VO community for my extensive tiara collection.
As you can see, from mental health advocate to former NASA employee to tiara lover – I’m someone with many experiences. I look forward to bringing all of them to your next project.
